La Toya Hampton is a senior in Concordia's Social Work program and is slated to graduate in May 2008. Mostly a closet poet, she uses her writing as a way to vent frustrations, seek answers to difficult questions and as her personal mirror. Many times her writings serve as affirmations, self-encouragement and reminders to herself of the kind of person she would like to be. La Toya hopes that others will be inspired by her piece.
